Easter

Well, the Easter Bunny visited our house Saturday morning leaving new church clothes in his wake (yeah)! I love new Spring dresses for my girls and Big brother got a new white shirt and a tie to match Daddy's. Daddy got new suits for his new political undertaking and mommy even got some new jewelry (new phase for mommy).

Our little Passover activity turned out pretty good. If nothing else it was completely interesting to learn about the traditions and reasons behind them. It made Easter a lot more meaningful for me. The kids were absolutely enthralled as we explained (in simple terms) the reasons for the different foods eaten at Passover. We ate on the floor on pillows around short tables and ate with our hands. We ate lamb ($8 per pound!), bitter herbs, grape juice, and even unleavened bread! It was awesome!! Hopefully, we can add to our new tradition a little bit more next year!

Sacrament meeting on Easter Day was wonderful! A young couple who lives up the street, good friends of ours, spoke and it was beautiful. I got to participate in the music provided for the meeting as well, and that was really a treat for me... made it very meaningful, too. I even got to play a piano solo (first time in over 15 years)! Then we took a much-needed nap which, unfortunately, made us late for dinner at the in-laws! Good thing they love us!

Hope everyone had a wonderful, family-filled, spiritual, Christ-centered Easter. Love you!
